Privacy

Taxon3D stores only an anonymous session id, your votes, and coarse rate-limit metadata (e.g. timestamps used to enforce vote-frequency limits). There are no user accounts in v1 — no names, emails, or passwords are collected. We do not sell or share this data with third parties. Aggregate, de-identified vote data may be used for research and published leaderboard statistics.

The session id is kept in a cookie so that one voter is not shown the same comparison twice. It identifies a browser, not a person, and is not linked to anything else.

Third parties your browser contacts

We send no data to these services ourselves, but loading a page makes your browser request files from them, which necessarily reveals your IP address and basic request headers to the host:

• Cloudflare — serves the site's network edge, stores and delivers the 3D models and reference photographs, provides the human-verification widget on the arena page, and reports aggregate traffic statistics to us. We see visit counts, not individuals.
• hCaptcha — not in use today. The arena supports it as an alternative to Cloudflare's verification widget, and if it is ever switched on, that widget loads from js.hcaptcha.com.

We run no advertising, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party session recording.
